Catering – Planning, Ordering and Confirmation

After studying the menu we recommend that you firstly go to our ‘guide to food planning’.  Having decided on what you require it is important to a successful outcome that you take note of the ‘planning and confirmation’ details together with the way you want your requirements organized.  All of this makes it easier when contacting Tartine on (03) 9822-8849 to discuss your needs.  Alternatively, an appointment can be made for you to meet with one of our experienced team.

Our Guide to Food Planning

Depending on what items are requested, the following can be used as a guide:

2-3 hour function: 6-8 pieces per person
3-4 hour function: 8-10 pieces per person

If the function constitutes a meal for your guests, we recommend 10-12 pieces per person.

Planning, Confirmation & Payment

To be certain of Tartine being able to successfully manage your catering, there needs to be enough time allowed for advance planning, organization and final confirmation.  For smaller functions, confirmation is required a minimum of 7 days in advance of the date, together with a 50% deposit payment and the balance on completion.  For larger events and where staff is required, Tartine needs to have the menu agreed upon a minimum of 14 days in advance with the payment of a 50% deposit and the balance 7 days from completion.  Changes to final number etc. can be made up to 4 days prior to the function.

Cancellation and refunds:  for Smaller Functions we require a minimum of 48 hours prior notice for the full refund of any monies.  For Larger Events, the minimum notice is 72 hours prior for a full refund.

Credit card payments over $500 will incur a 2% surcharge.

These are the ways we can organise your requirements

1.  Your order is boxed ready for pick up or delivery.

2.  You take advantage of our plattering service, where everything is prepared for collection or delivery.  For convenience, and where nothing has to be returned, another option is our smart china-like white disposable platters – $6 each.

3.  The third alternative is where Tartine is engaged to take care of all aspects of a function, including staff, delivery and presentation.

There is a small hire charge for the use of our platters, bowls etc. and a refundable deposit is required on the items supplied.  Costs associated with delivery, staff and our platter pick up service will be quoted as required.

* Due to seasonal factors, the unavailability of ingredients and unforeseen price rises, Tartine reserves the right to make changes to the menu and adjust prices where necessary.
